Rest In Peace Ted Nicholas, Master Copywriter

Rest In Peace Ted Nicholas

I was saddened to wake up this morning to the news that Ted Nicholas had died at the age of 85.

Even though Ted hasn’t been as active in recent years, I still received the occasional email from his list. Today’s email from his son Dave marked the end of an era.

It is with a heavy heart to announce the unfortunate passing of my Dad this past Monday night, he was 85 years old. Of course, my family and I are deeply saddened. I am heartbroken.

In an earlier Internet era, I had lapped up all of Ted’s wise words and positivity with glee. His was one of the emails I always opened. Largely because it never seemed he was selling, just offering value.

Of course, this would inspire many other Internet marketers to shift to that same 80/20 principle of value/offer. His methods were a blueprint for many others who followed.

Commiserations to Ted’s family and many of the others who were inspired or influenced by him over a period of many years.

Anyhow, rest in peace Ted. I’ll be having a drop of wine on your behalf tonight.
